Description:
With a reputation for age and venerability, Waverly sits near the Sellwood bridge, along the Willamette River. The course is notably difficult for women, but is a good deal easier to score on for men. There has been no remodeling on the course itself, which features some gorgeous trees. The greens are fast and small, and the waiting list is long. At 605 yards, the 8th is the toughest hole with its huge trees, and fairway bunkers. The signature hole is #16, a 206-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot from off an elevated tee shot to a green with the Willamette River flowing behind it.
The 18-hole course features 6,553 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71.6 and it has a slope rating of 119 on Blue grass.
It is one of the oldest courses in the Oregon.
